The aim of the study is to develop new street typologies based on the example of a neighborhood in Stuttgart that is in the planning stage. These street typologies combine the ecological potentials of Baubotanik with a high quality of stay for the residents and a large variety of uses. The result is a very large green volume, through which the buildings are shaded and a local cooling effect is achieved, while at the same time the linear alignment of the tree canopies ensures good ventilation of the street space. Aspects of temporal development as well as maintenance and care are also examined.
