The starting point of the transformation study for an industrial park in Stuttgart is the insight that an improvement of the climatic conditions of cities also requires an adapted approach in the peripheral areas and in the surrounding countryside. Using the example of the site "Unter dem Birkenkopf", the project addresses the question of how commercial areas close to the city can be refined by applying, among other things, the Baubotanik approach in such a way that the flow of fresh air is impeded to the least possible extent and the air is heated and polluted minimally. At the same time, the project attempts to show a possible answer to the structural change to which such areas are subject.
